23rd August 2010: Report written
The 6 month report of the project has been written and can now be downloaded from the download page for those who would like to read it. It has been an exciting and fast paced 6 months but the feedback already has been very positive and encouraging.
12th August 2010: White Water Rafting.........
MIH young people and guys from Northfield and Craigentinny went rafting near Aberfeldy; here are some pictures of the action:

26th July 2010: Mountain Biking:
MIH young people from Northfield go mountain biking in Devilla Forest Fife. They had a fantastic time storming around the trails getting muddy ;-)

26th July 2010: Mark back:
He has just come back from his Summer Holidays in the Lake District well rested and ready to get back into work.
1st July 2010: Summer approaching:
Keep an eye for Summer programmes in your area; Northfield is Friday 2nd July from 11am. Also Mark will be on holiday from the 19th July for one week.
1st July 2010: Mark passes MIDA's test:
Mark passes his Mida's minibus test and is currently looking to sit his D1 minibus test in the future.

24th June 2010: Re-Focus for Sunflower Garden and MIH:
The Sunflower Garden and MIH team met together for 2 days to review the past year and plan the next one.
15th June 2010: MIH 6 monthly report:
Mark is in the process of writing a report to evaluate the project for the past 6 months. Once completed it will uploaded to the website for you to download. We will keep you posted.

In the East of Edinburgh there are number of activities and things to do during the summer holidays; please keep an eye out. Also check out Edinburgh leisure for sporting activities.
15th June 2010: MIH Young Person completes Fairbridge:
A MIH young person took part and completed a Fairbridge course taking part and enjoying all the activities; rock climbing, golfing, football, raft building, archery and night away. They would like to thank Fairbridge :-)

One of the MIH Young People recently took photographs of places that he liked to capture unique parts of his city from his perspective.
25th May 2010: MIH worker attends 'Solution Focused' training:
Mark attended the training course provided by the city wide GIRFEC team and feels this way of working will really impact his practise by complimenting previous Motivational Interviewing training.

As the project continues to moves forward, Mark prepares to receive more young people which he is excited about.

21st May 2010: Mark asked to be part of the GIRFEC Implementation Group:
After some discussions with the Edinburgh GIRFEC team, Mark was asked to be part of the 'GIG' team for Castlebrae cluster area.

11th May 2010: GIRFEC Lead Professional Training completed:
Mark completes the 'Lead Professional' training and is excited about what this will mean for the Young People of Edinburgh, good and positive changes are happening accross the city.
28th April 2010: MIH worker attends GIRFEC training:
Mark completes the 'Getting It Right For Every Child' training. Mark is excited about what this will hold for the futures of our children and young people (see this website for further details). Mark will also be attending the 'Lead Professional' training.

26th April 2010: MIH worker Mark passes 1st Aid Course:
Mark completed his 3 day 1st Aid course and passed the exam last week.
19th April 2010: MIH Young People try 'shooting' Mark while paintballing last week.
Two young people from Northfield attended Paintballing on the 14th put on by the Northfield Community Centre in Partnership with other local youth organisations.

13th April 2010: MIH worker attending First Aid Course.
Mark will be attending a 3 day course 21st to 23rd April.
30th March 2010: Easter Holidays are almost upon us.
Mark will be on holiday for a few days over Easter but the project will not stop work. Also check out your local Community Centre for any activities / day trips that maybe happening.
17th March 2010: MIH worker completes Motivational Techniques Course.
Mark has just completed his 3 day course provided by STRADA which he will be putting into use in his practise as well as informing fellow collegues about the key skills he has learnt.
3rd March 2010: The project is going from strength to strength.
Over the past couple of months we have been working with 5 young people and have just added a few more as some of the original referrals start to move forward and progress.
3rd March 2010: Staff have recently been on some training.
Mark has attended some Motivational Interviewing Technique training (STRADA) as well as some Evaluation training (Evaluation Scotland)
4th March 2010: We have now added an Evaluation Page.
